Support for nonbit surface depths. Our thinking is that 8, 16, and to some extent bit surfaces are legacy formats, and not worth duplicating code four or more times to support.
This only applies to in-memory formats - when an image of lesser color depth is loaded, it is converted to a bit image. Support for palette functions, which only apply to 8-bit surfaces. First grab the wheel package: pip install wheel Then use this command to build your wheel: python setup.

For this demo, when we press 1, 2, or 3 it will bring the corresponding window to focus. If all of them have been closed out we set the quit flag to true to end the program.
Now in this demo we did not actually render anything inside of the windows. This would involve having to manage renderers and windows and having them share resources. There is no right way to do this and the best way depends entirely on what type of application you're building.

You need to have a working SDL2 library on your target system. Those are optional though and only necessary, if you want to use sdl2. Both will try to perform a default installation with as many features as possible.
