McMillan enjoys recording many genres of music, whilst also scoring music and working on post-production projects. I have designed many audio curriculums over the years and I am able to see students that struggle with technical aspects, and I am able to step in and address those issues at an early point.
In my graduate program, I learnt new and exciting ways for curriculum development and implementation in both on-ground classes and on-line classes that will provide students with a solid instructional foundation. In my ongoing research into education methodologies, I have been able to develop new and exciting strategies for learner engagement, by exploring cognitive, learning, and motivation theories as a first step toward understanding how to create an engaging curriculum for a variety of learning styles and settings, including the use of media, games, interactive technologies, and collaboration for students.
I have learned how to present and deliver educational content through a variety of content delivery methodologies. I also have examined the tools that enable synchronous and asynchronous learning, and explore which curriculum is best suited for each delivery method.
Currently celebrating over forty years in the music industry, John Boylan is one of the most successful record producers in contemporary music. He has produced over fifty albums which have sold more than forty million records, garnering a Grammy and three nominations. A short time later, one of John's songs caught the ear of Rick Nelson and he was asked to produce the rock star's next album in Los Angeles. Later that year, a chance meeting with Linda Ronstadt at West Hollywood's famous Troubadour club gave John an opportunity to explore some of his musical fusion ideas.
Impressed with his work putting together Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band, Linda asked John to help her form a new backup group for her next solo tour. And while it might be nice to think about meeting your favorite musical idol, that isn't the feeling I am talking about. Thinking it was just a matter of time and circumstance, I put that dream aside and focused on Broadway.
This is the performance!! My experience with the students of the Performing Arts programs at Citrus College have consistently exceeded my expectations. I am always a bit nervous to try something new or to go out of my comfort zone, but I am sure glad I did. This class went beyond my expectations and I cannot wait for another semester of this.
